"Wow absolutely top top class on the day of our wedding and indeed the run up to it. Every email answered politely and very quickly with any query, fantastic food (everyone commented on it), attentive staff who were ultra polite and helpful. The food ran like a dream serving a table at a time. Our Guests rooms ready early without issue. Help along the way on the day and night before setting up the room ready. Layla and Nina have been just fabulous every time I've communicated, one visit when we called in for a drink I could see Layla walking towards us with a huge lump of wood. It was the sample of the new flooring being put down. How lovely was that!!!
On my big day there was a treat of sandwiches and cakes brought up and on completion of the night there were rose petals scattered on the bed and a basket of treats, such a lovely touch after a day where enough couldn't have been done to help throughout, oh and that room, wowzer it's huge including the walk in shower!!
All our guests commented what a lovely place and staff, it made our day that the staff were happy to get involved in our photo booth situated in the bar so now they're part of our pics, they loved it!!
Also the dj recommended Dominic deserves a mention as he too was lovely, he even came to our house prior to the night to discuss our requests.
We would thoroughly recommend York house hotel to anyone considering it, we definitely made the right choice, thank you all. We and others will be back for meals in the future."

"I had my wedding reception here last month following getting married at the town hall just up the road. The location is excellent and great for the town hall and also the cathedral (where we originally planned on getting married but opted instead for the town hall). We booked the wedding package which included a three course meal in the day and then an evening buffet. The bridal suite was also included for the evening of the wedding and my oh my- what a beautiful room and the perfect place to spend your wedding night! I also booked the room for the evening before the wedding so I could have my getting ready photographs taken there on the morning of the wedding and these have turned out beautifully. Our wedding co-ordinator, Layla, was excellent in the booking of the wedding, the run up to the wedding and also on the day and she was approachable yet professional at all times. Nothing was too much for her and she even decorated the room for us as an extra service (which looked absolutely beautiful). The food on the day was just incredible and all the guests commented on the high quality of the food compared to other weddings they had been to this summer. Another plus as to why we chose here rather than other venues is that you do not have to choose just one or two options for each course and instead we allowed our guests to choose from 4 options for each course. Being lovers of food, the quality of food was very important to us and we were not disappointed. Also- the function room in which we had the reception had just recently been redecorated and I believe we were the first guests to use the room following this. The room looks stunning and this can be appreciated in our wedding photos as well. The whole day was a huge success and we were extremely pleased as were our guests. We couldn’t have wished for more and for that we are so glad that we chose York House Hotel as our wedding venue."
